Today it's time to go briefly to the Twitter widget. You can choose between four different widget types, all of which can be changed in size, colour, appearance and display and finally integrated with an HTML code into the template of your website or blog. I've even integrated such a Twitter widget into my sidebar. Unfortunately, I do not know to what extent my readers also use this Twitter widget as a link source, but in my view, it is a fascinating additional information aspect about the blog in which they are currently.

Twitter profile widgets

Profile Widgets are used on the website or blog to give an overview of your own Twitter profile. Most of the time profile picture, Twitter name and the last tweets are displayed. A Twitter widget that shows profile activity can be generated directly from Twitter.

Optics, colours, sizes and displays can be changed quite easily with a few settings and finally output an HTML code.

Twitter search widget

The Twitter search widget is increasingly used on websites - especially when it comes to trend pages or brand pages. This Twitter widget allows you to display tweets about a particular search term in an ad. Thus one is not only dependent on one's tweets or others but can view all tweets on a topic. Once you've defined size, colours, and search terms, you'll also get an HTML code here that's easy to integrate into the blog or website.

Twitter Faven widget

With the Twitter Faven Widget, tweets marked as "favourites" can be displayed in a widget. This limits the selection of displayed tweets very much but has a direct influence on the quality and information content of the displayed tweets. I have not seen such a Twitter widget on any page yet. Of course, you can also show only selected tweets here, by marking your tweets on Twitter with an asterisk as a favourite. This is possible by moving the mouse along the right side of the tweets - then a small grey star appears.

Twitter Lists Widget

Another - from my point of view - the handy and well-coordinated widget is the Twitter Lists Widget. This makes it possible to display the tweets of a specific list. The great thing is that you can use not only your files but also other Twitterers. For this, the Twitter name of the respective user must be specified and one of his corresponding lists selected. Overall, however, only one record can be chosen per the Twitter widget. Unfortunately, combining two or more files is not yet possible.
